This is a very unusual climber. It sends up two or three twining stems with alternate, lanceolete leaves. Then only when it has reached a certain height, between 4 to eight feet, does the tip of each stem flowers. This one I grow in a pot and trained it up a string into my strawberries, which are in a wall pot. This one's stems are about five feet tall and is the first year it has flowered.
