This plant flowers on the tips of shoots therefore if you require many flowers you have to induce side shoots. It's growth pattern is between a shrub and a climber. It will tolerate temperatures near zero. The leaves are glossy and entire and up to 15 cm long. It is a vigorous grower and needs plenty of feed. The flowers only last a day, but it retains its shape for a few days as the corolla is quite thick.
