This subspecies of Phlox is a hardy perennial rock plant. I flowers in late spring to late summer. It has a mass flowering in late spring and then sporadic flowering to the end of summer. I have it growing in the front brick fence. The leaves in winter can easily be overlookd as grass, but when it flowers it is a wonderful sight. Every year it is getting larger and I am looking forward to this years flowering. It flowers for a long time with masses of these delicate pink flowers with darker center line of the petals. It is striking to look at in full bloom.
