This False Acasia has large, sharp spines along the branch. It rarely flowers over here. I have never seen it flower in my garden. The flowers are racemes of whitish pink pea type flowers in late spring to summer. This tree is not really in my garden, but is in next door's garden. Although it shades my garden, which affects some of my plantings, I do like the light green to yellow leaves. Especially in the autumn before the leaves fall, as in this photograph, creating quite a mess, but at the same time bringing nutrients from deep below the soil.
