This plant has taken about three years to flower. the flowers are small and although pretty they are not spectacular, but the berries are looking great. These brilliant metalic purple fruits of Dianella really stands out in the front garden and as here combined with the white of the Ornithogallum or snake flower is really eye catching. The colour of the berries suggest that they are poisonous, but I cannot find any evidence for this some people think they are not poisonous and others say some species are poisonous.
