This plant would do best in slightly acidic swamp, but here I am using it here in order to fill in where a plant has died. The dual colour of the leaves gives good contrast with its surroundings. It is tender and needs to be taken inside in winter. It needs a sunny position and may not do well, but as an experiment I am trying it out. I think that it may also be used submerged in a fish tank for aeration.
