This is a lovely flower with leaves almost identical to the Glory Lily. It grows to a height of about 2 feet(60 cm) and needs treatment similar to Dahlias. Tubers need to be stored dry at 63°F (13°C); dormancy broken after storage at 3 degrees C for 100 days. It needs to be started off in the greenhouse in the spring and can be brought out after all frost has ceased in early summer. It has flowers at each leaf axil as it grows. The tuber is a smaller version of the Glory lily. As a member of the Autumn Crocus (Colchicum) family it may well be poisonus if eaten.
