This is a yellow version of this bi-ennial primula. In a group of reds, yellow, pink and white they are striking in the spring and early summer. It is best to plant the seeds as soon as they are ripe. They tend to be strong enough without staking, but in a windy spot they may be blown over easily. Like most primulas they like moist soil. These thrive in boggy soil at the edge of a pond.
