Here Solomon Seal is about to flower in the spring and the flowers are about to open. The plant does not seem to be attacked, by snails and red spider, until it has flowered. It prefers a sandy soil, but will grow in a range of soils even poor soils. The better it is treated the previous year the better the flowering the next year. It is easily propagated by digging up piece of the rhizome with leaves and flowers and replanting.
