This is Solomon Seal in its true glory in the spring. Although it will tolerate shade when it dies down earlier, here it is grown in a south facing raised bed and does not die down until the late Autumn. The plant reaches a height of 3 feet(1mtr). The rhizome does not seem to be attacked by anything, but the leaves are attacked by red spider and snails. The snails seems to strip the leaves and leave the petioles and stem
