This bottle brush flower is a tough plant.It will hold its own in deep grass and spread by creeping rhizomes. It flowers for a long time in the summer. It is about 12 to 15 inches high with leaves that are lanceolet to ovate and looking peltate on thge flower stalk. It is hardy and dies down during the winter.
