This plant is normally grown as a house plant and can withstand a large range of conditions. I once found a thrown out stem in the snow and regrew several plants from cuttings. They took many months to resprout, but eventually grew into large plants. They are frost tender and will not withstand our winters here in London, but it grows well outside in the garden after the frost until about december. I now grow it in a pot outdoors and bring it in before the frost arrives. In the garden it makes an excellent archetectual plant.
