Frost tender Acasia is a splendid sight and is well worth the effort in protecting it in the winter. There are other more hardier species which will withstand the frost and can grow to great heights. I love the bright yellow round powder puff flowers. I am now waiting for the hardier replacement to flower. It seems more vigorous and may be too large for my garden, but I am hopeful I can control the size by pruning.
