This plant loves the wet and usually has a white edging to its leaves. Here I am growing it, in the pond, in a pot where its verigated leaves along with its white begonia looking flowers gives interest thorugh the year until it dies down with the frost. It is hardy and regrows the following spring. It grows to a height of about 12 inches in full sun to partial shade. The best range of bright foliage coloration occurs in full sun, but overall vigor is often best in partial shade. It is good for ground cover. It has a pungent smell when breaking apart the roots for division.
