This plant is from New Guinea, Australia region and is said to be hardy down to -5 degrees Centigrade. In order to keep it in shape I will have to prune it like a topiary plant. It flowers for a long period in summer and there are many species and varieties including a yellow variety. The spiky leaved G.rondo has succulent type leaves whereas this one has spiky pine type leaves and is best planted where there is less traffic.
