Here the Pleione Orchid is placed above the pond as most orchids likes high humidity. I leave this plant outside in a place where frost is unlikely to get at it. It should tolerate frost up to -5 degrees C, but I do not want to take the chance. If it is too wet during the summer it is likely to rot and like most orchide likes a spell of dryness before watering. The flowers lasts for about two weeks. I think you will agree it is a beautiful flower.
