Caused By:-     The Fungus Phytophthora primulae

Description

Primular, Polyanthus and related plants grows slowly and leaves will yellow early. Plants wilt easily and the root system deteriorates. If roots are cut lengthwise there is a distinctive brown discolouration in the core. The fungus builds up in the soil after years growing the same plants in one area. Control

Remove infected plants as soon as possible. Soak the soil with Jayes fluid and plant primulas in another area for a year or two.
